Play-A-Palooza 2026 is the ultimate Spring Kickoff! 

This FREE family-friendly event is our big spring season opener, celebrating extended playground hours and a full day of fun, music, and activities for all ages!

• Exciting hands-on activities from amazing local organizations
• Live entertainment featuring DJ Darryl spinning great music
• Two interactive theater performances by Philly Sensory Theater(see description below)
  

Play-A-Palooza is an outdoor event. The Playhouse will remain closed, with the exception of first-floor restroom access.

Free snacks generously provided by Herr's. 

Food will be available for purchase from local favorites Pink’s Cold Treats, Humpty Dumplings, and Red Stone Pizza.

Philly Sensory Theater will present “Light Years Away”, an original dance-theatre work that follows the Sun and the Moon and their tender, humorous relationship to one another.  Through movement, puppetry, gentle storytelling, and sensory play, young audiences watch as the Sun learns to look beyond her own bright rays and truly connect. With original music, immersive design, and interactive sensory props, the show creates a welcoming, multi-sensory adventure that children of all ages can enjoy.

Performances will take place at 11am and 12:30pm on the Front Gateway Plaza, in front of the Playhouse.
