2026 Honorees of Smith Memorial Playground

I believe no one should be hungry. When I was nine years old, I began making sandwiches and handing out lunches to unhoused neighbors in Center City during my school breaks. I collected and bagged the food myself, often including my favorite snacks. My favorite part was simply talking with people. Today, I volunteer regularly at the Brothers of Strawberry Mansion’s food distribution in my neighborhood, where I often help elderly community members by carrying food to their cars or homes. For me, it’s about treating people with dignity and respect, one meal at a time.
